I can honestly, cross my heart, pledge that I have never grabbed another ice pack after using RLP (ReLeafpack) like not once. I make sure to travel with them, and I leave sets at my parents’ house just in case I forget to pack mine! RLP slid into my life almost a year ago, and I thought okay big deal it’s an ice pack, I mean it’s cool, but can it really feel better than the ones I already have? YES, yes it totally can! Truth is, not all ice packs are created equal! RLP is weighted, has no condensation, has cute fabrics, actually feels cooler than other packs I own, and the most important part is it nicely forms to your body due to the bean-blend filling! It’s magical, so comfortable you can actually lay on them.
Pro tip
For me, I like to take one RLP the 8”x14” size and the Buddy size 5.5”x9.5” (pictured) to make an ice sammie around my injured knee and foot! I do this multiple times a day- when I wake up, before and after I go walking, before bed, and honestly whenever I’m in pain which is more often then I talk about.. * Icing helps slow the blood flow thus lowering inflammation which is key when dealing with chronic pain!*
RLP is also a part of my treatment must-haves list and I can’t even count how many times I’ve recommended this product to Warriors who have contacted me asking for product recommendations! I took my ReLeafpacks with me to my treatment this year and YOU GUYS… GAME-CHANGER! Where I had my Lemtrada treatment administered, kindly allowed me to keep my RLPs in the freezer which was a bonus! (My infusion days are 8 1/2 hours to put it into context.) If your center doesn’t allow you, you can bring a cooler with you, but make sure it’s a good one to really keep them nice and cold for you!
Good thing I brought them with me, because they helped me on multiple fronts! Starting with anxiety- I placed a pack on my chest and the coolness partnered with the weighted aspect helped soothe my anxiety. They came in clutch to ease the flushing that occurred and kept my temperature down! At one point, the IV site started to feel itchy so made an ice sammie (pictured above) and covered the site with my handy-dandy ReLeafpack and Viola! It eased the itching without me fussing with the site! (They’re also wonderful if you suffer from chronic itching or if you have bug bites- just apply a RLP and it’ll always do the trick!)
I’ll leave you with one last nugget of how to use your RLP – for the vaccine site! Whenever you get your vaccine, make sure to place a RLP on the shot area as soon as you get home! The sooner, the better! It will help prevent swelling and lower the risk of soreness! Trust me!
